As you all must know that NEET is a national level entrance exam for admission in MBBS/BDS courses conducted by the National Testing Agency. The NEET 2020 exam will be organised once a year, -in May. NEET being one of the major exams in the country and the only route to the medical career, its preparation should be done adequately.
In the year 2020 around 16 to 17 lakh candidates are expected to appear for NEET for only 63,900 seats. As a result, there will be huge competition among aspirants to crack the exam. So from the very beginning, you must have a clear picture of the exam pattern, mode of exam, important dates and syllabus etc. With NTA administering the exam there have been certain changes in the mode of exam, its frequency and others.
NEET 2020 Application Information:
Candidates aspiring for NEET 2020 can avail the application form via online mode by visiting the NTA official website. First, they have to register for the exam before proceeding for the application form. Once the registration is done, they will receive login details in their registered Email ID and mobile. Using these details the candidates need to log in and fill the NEET application form.
The application form will be available in online mode only. Candidates are restricted to apply for NEET exam online and there will be no provision of offline submission of application form.
The process of submission of NEET 2020 online application form may start from November 2019. Final dates will be updated at the later stage.
Submission of application form will be through NTA official website.
Students must provide their own mobile number and email address.
Students need to upload their photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
Candidates have to provide following identity details:-
Indian Nationals of all States:- Aadhaar Number, Ration Card Number, Election Card Number, Passport Number or Number issued for other ID Card issued by Government, Bank Account Number.
Foreign Nationals/ OCI/ PIO:- Passport Number
NRIs:- Aadhaar Number, Passport Number
Submission of false information will restrict you to appear in all future exams conducted by NTA. Have to be extra careful in filling up of form.
Students can make payments of application fee through their credit card, debit card, net banking and e-challan.
The exam fee once deposited will not be refunded to the candidate under any circumstances.
Exam fee varies year to year. The probable application fee will be INR 1400/- for unreserved category and INR 750/- for OBC/SC/ST/PWD/Transgender. There will be Service/Processing Charges and GST as per the rules.
Application received without payment will be considered invalid.
NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility for NEET 2020 is as follows:
The candidate must have passed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English as core subjects in both 11th and 12th from recognised board.
17 years of age as on December 31, 2020.
Must not be more than 25 years of age for unreserved category and 30 years of age for reserved and PwD category.
Minimum aggregate marks only for PCB subjects. UR- 50%, OBC/SC/ST- 40%, PWD- 45%
No limit on the number of attempts.
NEET 2020 Important Dates:-
NEET Admit Card:
The admit card for NEET 2020 Exam can also be downloaded from the NTA official website. The card holds all the details related to the exam date, venue, reporting time etc. Candidates must keep a print out of the same for all future use. The admit cards must be carried in the examination hall as without it no candidate will be allowed to enter and appear for the exam. Candidate needs to affix one photo on the admit card and one photo to be carried along the admit card in the exam hall. The admit card will not be sent to you via post or other means.
NEET 2020 Result:
NEET 2020 results will be out after careful evaluation of the answer sheets. Candidates will be able to check their results from the NTA official website. Students will be able to download their results for future reference. For downloading the details, candidates must log in using their credentials.
NEET Counselling 2020:
Counselling for Seats under 15% All India Quota and all seats in Central Institutions will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services. All related information will be available in their official website .
Counselling and admission for seats other than 15% All India Seats will be as per instruction provided by State Government and/or authorities of the Medical / Dental colleges, institution, university concerned for counselling. The counselling for private medical colleges excluding the deemed will be with the respective state governments.
